Frequently Asked Questions

Is education free in Denmark?
Only for students from the EU, EEA, and Switzerland. Students from outside these regions (e.g., India, USA, China) must pay tuition fees. However, some scholarships exist for highly talented non-EU students.
What is "Hygge"?
It is a Danish concept of coziness, comfort, and well-being. It defines the student lifestyle—think warm coffees, studying with friends, and a relaxed, stress-free atmosphere.
Can I find a job without Danish?
Yes, especially in IT, Engineering, and Business sectors where English is the working language. However, for part-time service jobs (waiter, cashier), basic Danish is often required. The government offers free Danish lessons!
