September Intake: The main intake. Applications run from Nov to May.
Universitaly: You must pre-enroll on the "Universitaly" portal before applying for a visa. This is mandatory.

Academic: 12 years of schooling + Bachelor's (for Master's). Some courses require IMAT (Medicine) or TIL (Engineering).
English: IELTS 6.0 - 6.5. MOI (Medium of Instruction) letter is sometimes accepted by universities but risky for Visa.

Do I need to learn Italian?

For English-taught courses, No. However, we highly recommend learning basic Italian (A1/A2) before you go. It helps immensely with finding part-time jobs and socializing outside the university.
